Paris Fashion Week will return in September for the women’s Spring/Summer 2021 shows, as Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode states.
The shows will take place between September 28 and October 6 with no details about the schedule or its participants released. The Fédération’s statement goes on to add that the event “will comply with its implementation of the recommendations by public authorities.” The physical fashion week will be run alongside a specially-created online platform.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, men’s fashion week had to be canceled earlier this year, but the crisis also made brands seek new and innovative ways to present their collections for fashion weeks, such as London staging an online-only event, Burberry announcing plans for a show in the “British outdoors” in September. Both Pitti Uomo and Milan Fashion Week are also set to go ahead in September.
